Belong anywhere.
At it’s inception in 2013, Airbnb promised to transform the way people travelled, enabling them to explore the world, not as a tourist, but to truly 'Belong Anywhere' and since, this has been Airbnb’s brand statement. It it this ethos that we strive to embed into all of our properties here in Bremer Bay. Whilst we cater to a range of guest styles and budgets through our property offerings and host all from high-end luxury to quirky and rustic, we endeavour to create the experience of belonging while staying with us. We want our guests to feel that they belong here in the Bay, whether staying for 2 nights or 20. A home away from home if you will.
But the Belong Anywhere message is not the only reason we choose to host with Airbnb.
Booking Security: Because Airbnb prides itself on guest satisfaction, hosts can’t just cancel bookings without being penalised. This means that your booking is more secure and you (hopefully) won’t find yourself all packed and ready to go on holiday only to have your accommodation cancelled last minute.
Of course, unprecedented situations can occur, though Airbnb has a history of helping guests where possible in these situations and ensuring you don’t experience any sort of financial loss.
In addition to general booking security, booking through Airbnb, particularly in Covid times, means that in the event of needing to cancel last minute due to a lockdown or other Covid related reason, Airbnb will work with us to ensure your cancellation is penalty free.
In-App Communication: Since all correspondence for your booking is through the Airbnb App or browser, Airbnb has access to all communications in the event that something goes wrong and you need to pursue it further. On the flip side, Airbnb supports us as hosts in the unlikely event that we have a substandard guest experience. Airbnb has 24/7 support teams for all situations should something go wrong. (Of course the very first message should always be to your host).
Legitimate Reviews: How many of us have been caught out impulse buying something because of a good review, only to investigate later that the review probably wasn’t super legit?…. Accommodation providers who don’t use a platform like Airbnb have the ability to promote ONLY the good reviews and make the not-so-good ones disappear! With Airbnb, this isn’t possible. In order to leave a review, a guest must complete a paid stay at the property (meaning we can’t just get all our family and friends to leave reviews). We also have no control over which reviews are displayed, rather ALL reviews are displayed. This allows future guests to read honest feedback before making a decision about where they book. This, to us, is one of the most important reasons to host through Airbnb. Honest reviews means no awkward surprises for our valued guests.
Live Calendars: Another plus for us is the live calendar system, meaning when you view the calendar, it is displaying real-time availability. No back and forth messages between bookings staff or waiting for days for confirmation. Our bookings are all reviewed and accepted within 24 hours.
On the rare occasion we may choose to decline a booking if it’s not the right fit (pets requested in a pet-free house, leavers requests, events and parties etc), however we still take the time to review every request and try to accommodate where we can.
Airbnb is a great platform that connects like-minded people to beautiful houses and destinations. We are so honoured to have hosted thousands of guests through the platform and look forward to hosting many more as a recognised Airbnb Superhost!
